Fewer Georgian citizens at Armenia's penitentiary institutions this year
Head of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, Major-General of Justice Artur Goyunyan on Monday received Consul of Georgia in Armenia Sozar Kvinchia at the initiative of the latter. As reported the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, during the meeting, the parties discussed the conditions for the exercise by Georgian citizens of their rights and the conditions for keeping them at penitentiary institutions of the Republic of Armenia, particularly stressed the fact that the number of Georgian citizens at penitentiary institutions of Armenia has dropped this year and earmarked the paths for future cooperation. Head of the Penitentiary Service Artur Goyunyan stated that all problems concerning Georgian convicts at the penitentiary institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia are solved in accordance with the requirements of Armenian legislation. At the end of the meeting, the Consul expressed gratitude to Artur Goyunyan for always supporting detainees and convicts who are citizens of Georgia.
